However, there are other ways to p rotect your consumers from Covid-19 that some entrepreneurs may not think about initially, including:

Improve your online services

As mentioned previously, most companies experiment with their online services in order to keep customers out of stores but still shopping with their brands. Some businesses offer curbside pickup or provide contactless delivery for restaurants.

It is important to move customers online as much as possible to avoid exposure and also prevent sick shoppers from coming into the store.

Keep your essential employees to a minimum

Along with masks and sanitizers, employers can prevent the spread by keeping your staff to a minimum at all times. Exposure is significantly less when there are only a few employees in the space. Any additional staff members only increase the likelihood of infection.

If you’re worried about the workload, practice a creative work system or allow remote work whenever possible. You may be able to hire an assistant who can work from home and cover administrative tasks for the business in the comfort of the desks.

Encourage proper hygiene for everyone

Good hygiene is a necessity during the global pandemic. Everyone should consistently wash their hands and sanitize them often. However, employers may need to take drastic measures to ensure that workers and customers are healthy and hygienic.

During your company training, ask employees to wash their hands when:

• Before and after eating
• After coughing or sneezing
• After using to the bathroom
• When changing tasks and after touching potentially contaminated surfaces

You can also post pictures and reminders of proper hygiene for your employees in common workspaces. And for customers, offer a hand sanitizer that is at least 60% ethanol as its active ingredient. It’s more effective and meets the CDC guidelines for proper disinfection.

These practices may take time to implement, but it’s crucial to take preventative measures now as we near a second spike in the Covid-19 outbreak in California.
